With climate change being a growing threat to global biodiversity, it is increasingly urgent to be able to accurately predict species responses to these changes in order to protect them before they are lost. I am interested in thermal traits/ecology and responses to their local environment at the community-, species-, and individual-level, in both natural and human-altered or managed habitats. My research focuses on insects, particularly butterflies, across the life cycle. I work both in the field and in the lab. My aim is to improve conservation efforts through a better understanding of ecology, and improve our predictions of species vulnerability to anthropogenic change.
